    Step 3. Complete a Title Search

    Coming up with a title can be a challenge. The title is very important and will help sell the book if it is a good title. Has your title been used by other authors? Check the library database, Amazon.com and the library of congress to see if your title has already been used. Even though there is no copyright on the title itself, it will be in your benefit to use a unique title that isn’t easily confused with other titles. Make sure your title is catchy enough to grab a reader’s attention or tells what the book is about.
