Answer You - Theology And Theologians Or Bible Intellectualism And Bible Intellectuals - Part 2
Should You Talk about Your Book Idea Before It's Finished d among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful." Notice too, the care of this world (this age) also plays a part in their down fall. You will notice as well, that theologians, if ever you engage them in conversation, are big on politics and the worldly affairs of men - cares of this world. Many American 'Christians' have fallen into this trap by becoming embroiled in politics, when all the while The LoOne is that you should never talk about your book idea. There are two reasons for this viewpoint. One is that if you talk too much about your book, you will dissipate the energy it takes to actually write your book. The other is that if you talk about your book and get negative feedback, it could discourage you from writing it as well.Better to just keep your ideas to yourself, this perspective says, and focus on writing. The other side of this debate says that you should talk about your book idea to people. How else can you test if anyone will be interested in your idea or not? Why waste so much time and energy writing something nobody will want to read, and nobody will ever publish?Which side is right?Well, both are right, to an extent. At least, I’ll tell you my perspective from 28 years in publishing as an author and editor.First, whether you should talk about your book or not depends in large part on what kind of person and writer you are. Extroverts—people who are outwardly focused and who get their energy from interacting with people— People Buy Positive Attitudes Hi there, here we are again, and on to where I left off in part 1 where I quoted 1 John 2:27. This verse is one of those stand alone verses, together with it standing in the context of the rest of that chapter as well. I will quote it again for your convenience: 1 John 2:27 "But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him." There it is in black and white "and ye need not that any man teach you" and there is nothing ambiguous about this verse - it means exactly what it says and cannot be explained away. Now, I will clear up one issue here, just to silence possible detractors, and that issue is the issue of: Where do disciples or new converts stand in the light of this verse? These vulnerable children of God do need teaching by men, by men with the Spiritual gift of teaching, (not pastors or elders without that gift) and you do not need to be a pastor to have the Spiritual gift of teaching. 1 John 2:27 is only addressed to established Born Again Sons/Daughters of God - no one else, for they have the permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and disciples do not. (Please see my series of articles - Is it hard to be saved?)I’m about to tell you something that you already know. This something that I’m about to reveal to you is also something that each of us may have used at one time or another, we know that it works, but we don’t use it all the time. I guess you could say that we are not consistent about using this something. Why would we know something, use it, know that it works, but don’t use it all the time? That’s easy, we forget. And sometimes, we need someone to remind us how important this something is and that is the purpose of this article today. What is this something? This “something” is your positive attitude and when you have a positive attitude people will buy from you! How can we be more consistent and be more positive when interacting with our prospects and customers? We have already taken the first step and this step is called awareness. Your next step is to consciously practice having a positive attitude and the more you practice, the more it becomes part of your overall daily business interactions.Below are some practical personality tools, concepts and ideas th OK, having cleared that up, let's move on, keeping that Scripture in mind and repeating one of my previous questions: Why do we have theologians? We have theologians because many are called by The Father to His Son, but few are chosen: John 6:44 "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." and Matt 22:14 "For many are called, but few are chosen." So there we have it, these theologians are called, but the Truth is choked out of them by the deceitfulness of riches; as I explained in my first article, the riches of man's intellectual vanity. Matt 13:22 "He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful." In the United States alone, tobacco use is responsible for one in five deaths, primarily from cardiovascular diseases, lung cancer, other types of cancer and respiratory diseases. In North America, approximately 75% of all oral cancers are associated with tobacco use and alcohol consumption. At least 80% of oral cancer patients are smokers, and oral cancer patients who continue smoking after treatment are much more likely to develop another head or neck cancer.Tobacco use is also linked to other types of oral health problems, ranging from serious (increased risk of periodontal disease) to social (bad breath) including:Gingivitis Periodontal disease Increased severity of periodontal disease Gum recession Sticky tar deposits on teeth Brown staining on teeth "Smoker's palate" (a red inflammation on the roof of the mouth) Delayed wound healing Tooth decay (possibly a secondary effect due to large amounts of sugar in smokeless products or less frequent dental check-ups) OK, having cleared that up, let's move on, keeping that Scripture in mind and repeating one of my previous questions: Why do we have theologians? Do you know that if you are not doing something that you know you should be doing this is sinning? Are you tithing 10% to your church? If you are not you are robbing Me.It’s that simple. If you are tithing 10% and you are giving to ministries this is a good thing. But if you are giving to ministries, and this is at the expense of your tithe to your local church then you are erring. You need to withdraw your money from the ministry and tithe 10% of your money to church. Now it does not take a genius to know that most of you are not tithing. My prophet read that only 3% ON AVERAGE OF Americans' money goes to their church in tithing and that most Americans have put their money instead on TV Ministries. And so this prophetic word is addressing that. Are you in love with the world and its goods? This is also sin.Try to buy a non popular brand of jeans or dress next time and get the difference in the $70 jeans and the $25 jeans and send the $45 Now again, why do we have theologians? I have explained what happens to those disciples who have The Truth choked out of them - the Holy Spirit leaves them, but even so, they have been called and they don't give up, they continue 'believing' under their own strength. They therefore remain very interested in things Biblical and they take up The Bible as an intellectual subject or study, and treat The Bible as a lifeless text book. Many of them attend seminaries and/or Bible colleges; many of them also become very religious, frequently taking up positions as 'ministers' or 'pastors' in some (not all) Baptist churches. 'Ministers' in Methodism, Anglicanism or Episcopalianism or worse, Roman Catholicism are often common destinations for these so called Bible experts. There are also many of these theologians or Bible intellectuals in the other denominations too. In the Anglican organisation there are actually 'ministers' who do not believe in God at all!! Can you believe that? You had better 'cos it's true, I've listened to them, but not for long. Considerable numbers of them become wishy-washy liberals, known Biblically as Laodiceans. Worldly liberalism contaminates their thinking because The Word of God is too 'hard hitting' for them - to tough, and this, in turn, is because they don't know the Father God personally and therefore don't understand His all encompassing loving plan for mankind - the total redemption of all human beings - His love for His creation. Most, if not all of them, believe in a wrathful God who is going to punish 99% of mankind in a fiery pit of torment. Now because they believe this lie to be true they then liberalise and water down God's Word to make it bearable and tolerable and in doing so try to placate their fear.
