So why all this background leading up to talking about multiple streams of income? Well if you are working a business online, it might be a good idea not to put all your eggs in one basket. There are many different ways to make money on the internet and many are related.
So for instance if you get involved in promoting affiliates, you might also market adwords to accelerate the process. From there you might produce and promote your own affiliate. Now you have multiple streams of income.
The exact example of what I'm talking about happened to a friend. He and his wife bowled in a league every week. The friend offhandedly suggested they sell retro bowling shirts. The business took off and they were selling shirts faster than they could get them. That couple didn't even seek out their good fortune, it just naturally fell their way. They have since hired people to take care of their mailing, which leaves them free to do other things.
